If you are looking for things to do in February in Charleston, we’ve got you covered! February is jam-packed with events and festivals, and we've put together a few of our favorite events that are sure to fit everyone's interests.

Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE)

When: February 17-19, 2023

Where: Various locations

SEWE is the largest event of its kind in the United States that celebrates wildlife and nature through fine art, live entertainment, and special events. Be sure to visit the SEWE Marketplace located inside the Gaillard Center. There, you’ll find dozens of artisans, craftsmen, and tastemakers from across the country! General admission tickets are $40 for Friday; $40 for Saturday; $35 for Sunday, and $85 for all three days.

Oysters on the Point

When: February 4, 2023 | 2-6 pm

Where: Charleson Harbor Resort and Marina | 20 Patriots Point Road, Mount Pleasant

Enjoy $12 buckets of steamed oysters, live music, local vendors, s'mores, beach games, and lots of cold beverages. $10 entry. Children 12 and under are FREE.

Taste of Gullah Geechee

When: February 5, 2023

Where: IBA Event Venue | 7910 Dorchester Road, Charleston

This event kicks off Black History Month with culturally inspired cuisine prepared by some of Charleston’s top chefs! Enjoy sample-sized tastings ranging from savory to sweet while learning the history of how the African diaspora has inspired the way we enjoy food in the Gullah Geechee corridor. There will also be music and hand-crafted cocktails.

Tickets are $85 and must be purchased in advance.

Cocktails and Camellias

When: February 11, 2023 | 3-6 pm

Where: The Mirror Garden at Middleton Place Plantation | 4300 Ashley Road, Charleston

Don’t miss the most beautiful cocktail party that celebrates the 10,000 camellias that bloom each year at Middleton Place. Enjoy specialty cocktails, wine, small plates, and live music surrounded by breathtaking camellias in America’s Oldest Landscaped Gardens. This a 21 and up event. Tickets are $95.

2nd Sunday on King Street

Where: King Street from Queen to Calhoun Street

When: Every month on the second Sunday from 12-5 pm.

Enjoy exploring Kings Street without traffic! You will find carefully curated artists showing their work on the street, unique food vendors, and other surprises! Enjoy discovering shops you might not have noticed before!

A Sweet Shindig at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens

When: February 25, 2023 | 1-4 pm

Where: Magnolia Plantation and Gardens | 3550 Ashley River Road, Charleston

Enjoy a delicious afternoon, featuring all your favorite Southern confections, including truffles and classic desserts – like lemon buttermilk pie, coconut cake, and more. Be sure to pair your sweets with a glass of wine or beer. There will also be live music—bring a blanket or chair and find a spot to relax. This is a 21 and up event. Tickets are $85 and are required in advance.

Charleston Mimosa Festival

When: Saturday, February 18, 2023 | Doors open at 11 AM / Show at 12 PM

Where: Music Farm | 32 Ann St, Charleston

Are you a big mimosa fan? If so, grab a group of friends and check out Music Farm’s Mimosa Fest. With a variety of mimosas and a specialty brunch menu, this boozy brunch is the perfect way to unwind, socialize, and hit the dance floor. The best part? Each ticket holder gets their first mimosa free! General admission tickets are $15, and VIP tickets are $40.

Chamber Music Charleston Salon Series

When: Sunday, February 19, 2023 | 7 PM 

Where: South Carolina Society Hall | 72 Meeting St, Charleston

Spend a Sunday afternoon enjoying violinist Francisco Fullana's performance of Beethoven & Mozart in the historic South Carolina Society Hall. The event starts at 7 pm, followed by a light concert reception. Tickets start at $40. 

Paint & Sip @ The Inn at Middleton: Middleton Pasture

When: Friday, February 10, 2023 | 7 PM - 9 PM

Where: The Inn at Middleton Place | 4290 Ashley River Rd, Charleston

Channel your inner artist at Middleton Place’s Paint & Sip! Participants can enjoy alcoholic beverages and snacks while they paint the night away. Step-by-step instructions will be provided throughout the night to ease participants through the creative process. Tickets are $35 before 1/31 and $37 after 1/31. 

The Gatsby Gala III

When: February 3, 2023 & February 04, 2023 

Where: Festival Hall | 56 Beaufain St, Charleston

Looking for a night filled with glamour? Look no further than the Gatsby Gala at one of Charleston’s premier venues, Festival Hall. Admission to this can’t-miss event comes with an open bar, live music, light food, and so much more! There are both general admission and VIP ticket options available. General admission starts at $135.
